Who We Are
We are the Ruparelia family business of Tanzania and Kenya, and over a hundred years our business has spread across the globe in multiple fields like agriculture, commodities, trading, agency business, tendering, investments, warehousing, a global spice business, manufacturing, and many more. We have also embraced modern businesses as in financial services (including fund management and actuary services), visa processing, IT supplies, consulting and also global sourcing. We have our family business doyens over three generations to work with and a younger generation of family members. We also work closely with international experts with Africa experience, from the United Kingdom, UAE, and USA. Our logo reflects our connections with Africa and the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Over hundred-year-old, The Ruparelia family business of Tanzania and Kenya and now all over the globe take great pride in announcing our joint alliance as the NASUKA Business Group. We have been popularly known as ‘Sunderji Nanji’. NASUKA is an acronym of the first two letters in the names of our founder Nanji Damodar Ruparelia and his illustrious sons, Sunderji Nanji and Karsandas Nanji. Spread over East Africa, the United Kingdom, the USA and UAE we are your partners in Africa. We have been partners for several companies since 1918 and are keen to assist you.
The word ‘NASUKA’ by sheer coincidence in Japanese/Kanji stands for many things including: ‘to accomplish, to achieve, harmonize, magnificent, flourishing, distinguished, grow, raise up, splendid, to change into good, to be fruitful, etc. We truly take after all these phrases in our very personalized business dealings and relationships for over 100 years.

Our People
We pride ourselves in being a family business and every aspect of our business gets personalized attention. We are closely associated with global experts who are an extension of our family business and have been associated with us for more than 20 years on an average. We are in our 4th generation and bring along our global experts who are also in their 2nd or 3rd generation. Our approach to business is ‘local but always global’. All our Directors and family management members are U.K. or U.S educated and our business skills have been honed across the global and mainly in Africa. Our Directors have also been inducted into the Board of Directors of listed and large companies, including Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Credit Bureau Tanzania Limited
